Daphne's First Field Trip

Hello Everyone! I would like to introduce my beloved daughter, Daphne. She’s turning 6 years old this June. A very smart, fun loving, and friendly little girl.

I had the opportunity to join her in her very first field trip as a preschool student. It was a long, very tiring, and yet fun-filled day. My daughter really had a great time with her friends out of the classroom.

First Stop: Bio Research, Sucat
A pet shop turned into an atrium of plants and animals. We had a guided educational tour which explained the importance of love for mother nature.

Second Stop: Dolljoy Pasig

This is my favorite part of the field trip. I was amazed to find out that Precious Moments is actually made in the Philippines. Dolljoy is a doll factory that produces ceramic and plastic dolls. I totally loved their creations. They have different themed rooms presenting their doll collection like fairy tale, united nation, different schools in the Philippines, Cory Aquino, and a lot more.

Third Stop: Puppet Show, Cultural Center

I was kinda tired and a bit exhausted by this time. It was after lunch. The students were asked to sit in front and parents were seated at the back. The puppet show was entitled "Basura Mo, Iayos Mo" which basically talked about proper waste management. Indeed, still an educational activity for the kids.

Fourth Stop: Museo Pambata

I remember having one of my field trips in Museo Pambata when I was in grade school and frequent visits in this place when I was younger. I was not really expecting much of this place because it was old. To my surprise, it has been updated and still very much maintained.

For the information of those who have not been to Museo Pambata, it is a museum designed especially for kids where they can touch and feel almost everything unlike other museums.

There are different rooms where children can play and learn about different things like mother nature, Philippine history, career options, planet Earth, parts of the body, and a lot more.

By now, you could have imagined what a tiring day it was. As a mom, there's nothing more than seeing your child enjoy her stuff while learning.

Lazy Saturday Afternoon at the Veranda

Upon arriving Manila from Baguio last Saturday, I decided to meet up with Z at one of our favorite chill out places in Sucat, the Veranda at Lakefront. We usually hangout here whenever we want to drink a bottle or two, chitchat, or quarrel (haha!). It is a secret haven to us since not much people are familiar to this place, I don’t know why. The place is very airy and overlooking the bay where you can catch the sunset at around 5pm.

Veranda serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks perfect for a lazy afternoon or after work hangout. Price is relatively affordable, a bottle of SanMig Light beer costs P45. They also serve the usual pica-pica like beef salpicao, lumpiang shanghai, and french fries. You can even order food from David’s Tea House, their sister restaurant.

Lemon Water

I have difficulty drinking water ever since  I was younger, mainly because I never liked the taste. *weird me, I know* As part of my weight loss mission, I’m committed to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day which I am really not used to. I found a quick fix to help myself be more encouraged to drink more, it is to add lemon slices to my water. I’ve been doing this for 3 days now and so far I am able to finish at least 3 bottle full of my Nalgene water bottle which is equivalent to 96 ounces or 12 cups of water. Yay!

Good thing to note that drinking lemon water is not just refreshing to drink but it also has added benefits like it aids digestion that can be associated to weight management and rich in Vitamin C which can help you strengthen your immune system and even give you clearer skin.

Lemon Water rocks! Try it!

My Not So Healthy Breakfast

I tried doing a Cohen Fohen (fake Cohen) diet and lost around 10lbs but my will power was not strong enough to resist Bangkok’s yummy food and delicacies. After my trip, I wasn’t able to go back to the Fohen meal plan and here’s my Wednesday breakfast.

Another Blog Attempt

Hi everyone! This is actually my nth attempt to blogging. Hopefully this time around, I will be able to post more often and write properly. I just want to have a place to share and document my experiences, travels, hauls, eats, and adventures of my everyday life.
