I had the opportunity to join her in her very first field trip as a preschool student. It was a long, very tiring, and yet fun-filled day. My daughter really had a great time with her friends out of the classroom.
First Stop: Bio Research, Sucat
A pet shop turned into an atrium of plants and animals. We had a guided educational tour which explained the importance of love for mother nature.
Second Stop: Dolljoy Pasig
This is my favorite part of the field trip. I was amazed to find out that Precious Moments is actually made in the Philippines. Dolljoy is a doll factory that produces ceramic and plastic dolls. I totally loved their creations. They have different themed rooms presenting their doll collection like fairy tale, united nation, different schools in the Philippines, Cory Aquino, and a lot more.
Third Stop: Puppet Show, Cultural Center
I was kinda tired and a bit exhausted by this time. It was after lunch. The students were asked to sit in front and parents were seated at the back. The puppet show was entitled "Basura Mo, Iayos Mo" which basically talked about proper waste management. Indeed, still an educational activity for the kids.
Fourth Stop: Museo Pambata
I remember having one of my field trips in Museo Pambata when I was in grade school and frequent visits in this place when I was younger. I was not really expecting much of this place because it was old. To my surprise, it has been updated and still very much maintained.
For the information of those who have not been to Museo Pambata, it is a museum designed especially for kids where they can touch and feel almost everything unlike other museums.
There are different rooms where children can play and learn about different things like mother nature, Philippine history, career options, planet Earth, parts of the body, and a lot more.
By now, you could have imagined what a tiring day it was. As a mom, there's nothing more than seeing your child enjoy her stuff while learning.
